Argentina is (again) on the point of a major financial default. How long before (another) round of diversionary sabre rattling demands for the "return" of the Falklands, sorry, Ma*****s?

How can you even type the word or refer to the Falklands as Mal ........
(I refuse to type it).

BTW, they defaulted today.

And how long would it take one british sub to do a lot of damage
To their whole fleet or every airbase ?

Does that naval strength include those ships that are unseaworthy ?

Typhoon vs Mirage/Skyhawk.

You can picture the scene in the 1435 Flt crewroom now...

"Pleeeeeeze try and invade. Oh, go on..pretty pleeeeze?!

How much sky blue paint have we got Chiefy?
Bloggs- work out how big we can paint an Argie flag and still fit a quarter of their Air Force under each cockpit.

Based on the last performance, the air force are the only likely one's

Let's hope it doesn't come to that. But would it be the first RAF kill since the Jagsplash?

I bet they'd even have a whip round to buy them some gas to try it.

Fantastic, all the usual gung ho posts from those who won“t have to be there.

I had the same attitude when I was on 1435 Flt - making light of a serious business. So did everyone else to my recollection; though that may make it worse in your eyes.

The same type of gung ho comments which during the actual war itself galvanised the whole of England from an "on strike country to a can do country overnight" for the duration of it even though we couldn't be there for whatever reason ?

Hats off to all who did go.

Actually, the last RAF kill was a fortnight after the infamous Jag. It was an A4 (second of 2 within 10 secs) with AIM9L and it was a bit bloody dark!

Not at all, I refer to the armchair warriors looking for a fight they won“t have to attend. Understand perfectly your "making light" comment.

Exactly, the gung ho of those who didn“t have to go. Your comment, in my bold, I agree with whole heartedly.

Comments perhaps from people who would be amongst the first to volunteer and many that have been. If I were recalled from the reserve list to go, I would be happy to give them a return match. In any case, the comment was only imagining the boys down there being eager to go.

Thanks for correcting me, I should have said UK, not England.

Seemed to be country wide from what I can remember.

Thankfully not a kill but the honour of the last guided missile against friendly forces goes to the mighty Tornado vs the (unsuspecting and rather surprised) USMC.

Fox3 ... I thought this might amuse you ...

It would seem the Falkland Islanders have been in direct contact with El Presidente to make an offer to help with their finances ...

What's their debt, about 42 trillion Pesos?

£10 in proper money should cover that - probably enough left for some fish & chips :ok:
