Hello All,

I've recently moved near to this strip in Kent (nr Edenbridge) but have not seen any movements nor can I find any points of contact.

Anyone know of this strip, if it is still operational and any contact details please?

Many thanks

NGB

As far as I know it was used for a while by SEBMFA (SEBMFA Home Page (http://www.sebmfa.org.uk)) flyers. Ken Jones arranged the use of Haxted strips, but was asked to quit after some years, due to complaints of neighbors. The strip was totally fine with the BMFA noise , but as Stuart Willes stated (http://www.felbridge-flyers.org/Documents/SEAN_2013-07.pdf): "We learnt a valuable lesson here that it is not about just noise but disturbance." Also, the "Bones" (http://www.homepages.mcb.net/bones/UK_Airfield_Catalogue/ukmenu.htm) does not list'em, but I don't know wether they did before.

I have flown microlights from this/these airstrips for more than 20 years. The strips are still in use today by 2 axis & 3 axis microlights, a light aircraft owned by the strip owner, visiting helicopters also use the strip. A Robinson R22 was based here for many years, but not lately. Landing is by STRICT PPR as it is inside the Gatwick Zone, radio is essential, and contact must be made to Gatwick Tower before entering zone, be prepared to hold.
