You need to find a Part 21 company that will do the design work and fit it for you.

Might have missed something but radalts are a fairly normal thing in R44's the digital one the name of which I can't remember till I get to work tomorrow is the most popular one . Just ask you're maintenance outfit to install one

Sigh! If only it were that simple. To fit kit like that now requires you to be or to employ a Part 21 company that can do the design work unless there is an EASA approved STC already.

FAA certified... Freeflight Systems | NextGen Avionics - ADS-B Solutions - RA 4000 (http://www.freeflightsystems.com/products/radar-altimeters/ra-4000)

It's a $19k factory option.

Isn't there a factory option available directly from Robinson ? I think I've seen that a while ago in the R44 price list. For a factory option, there shouldnt be any STC required by EASA.
