Any answers to this would be appreciated.
I have a Commercial MEL and passed the ATP written a couple of months ago. My understanding has been that I can take the ATP multiengine ride within two years of the written exam date without worrying about the CTP requirements.
Now I'm being told by multiple sources that after 1 Aug, the CTP does kick in and must be completed before I can take the ATP ride.
That's completely inconsistent with what I've seen in the FAR's. One "expert" from a well know aviation organization even suggested that after 1 Aug, a multiengine "written exam" is also required?
Even my local FSDO couldn't answer the question, if you can believe that!
