I'm a student and I'm interested in being a pilot in the RAF, what sort of things are useful for joining? Like subjects and interest.

The ability to read posts and see that there is a whole thread offering all of the advice you need (it's called Officer and Aircrew Candidates) would indicate your ability, or otherwise, to make the most of this forum. Best of luck for the future, as an ex SNCO I'm sure you show all the potential for commisioning and probably driving drones.

The ability to talk about oneself continually and a big ego help.

What's this "interested" in being a pilot? At that age I was totally besotted and absorbed with the idea, and there was no alternative even close. Luckily for me the RAF considered I was a good bet.

Get a private medical and eyesight test to find out how you measure up.
