Maybe a Navy/Marine Corps aviator in and around Yuma during the late 80s could answer my question.

Four delta shaped 'Migs' lift off in the background supposedly from Soviet air base, Rambo and his guide take a rest from crossing from Pakistan into Afghanistan.... initially I thought it was IDF/AF Kfir quartet but thought hang on a sec, the mountain areas look more like the mountains around Yuma near the TACTS range (watch Top Gun scenes, quite a few were filmed around said range) and as VMFT-401 'Snipers' had leased F-21 Kfir from Israel, around that time, I am wondering if at a long shot, if the mountain crossing scene was filmed in Yuma so the 'Migs' in the backbground must be the 'Snipers' then? This would have to be before 1989/1990 when the Kfirs were handed back to Israel as with VF-43 ones.

Cheers
