Sadly, it seems otherwise, many injured. Other reports say shooter is still at large, but possibly isolated.

Shooter is supposed to be Dead, Fourteen wounded, but don't count on it being correct at this early a stage.

Armed shooter? OK, just to ask the obvious, what the hell is an unarmed shooter? A porn star? I think the term usually used is "active shooter" these days.
Sad day at Fort Hood. :uhoh: Again. At least he had the decency to kill himself. Now, if only folks who were keen on doing all this would shoot themselves first before shooting others ...
The shooter, who served in Iraq in 2011, had been undergoing an assessment to determine whether he had post-traumatic stress disorder, according to Lt. Gen. Mark A. Milley, the senior officer on the base. He was also undergoing psychiatric treatment for depression.
Great, all the treatment and counselling worked.

If he has been disarmed he is still the shooter, but is an unarmed shooter, by saying armed it tells you he is still active as was thought at the time I posted.
However, sad to see the loss of life :(
