A picture was posted in the MH370 thread of a B777 avionics room:

As the room is panned, the device in the photo below shows up. It looks like a specialized terminal/display and I want to know what it is used for, and whether its use would be limited to on the ground situations or whether it would be accessible in flight. Thank you.

It's a PMAT. "Portable" Maintenance Access Terminal.
Used by engineers to diagnose and cure faults, activate ground tests etc. As far as I can remember it's deactivated in flight.
I only ever used it's once when the MAT on the flight deck was u/s.
Many airlines have removed them.

Thank you. Would such a device have been accessible on MH370 (from below decks - someone in the cargo hold), and if so, could it be used to cause the phenomena observed on MH370.
