As an aviation Geek and skier I'll be travelling Birmingham to Innsbruck This saturday 16:35 to 19:40 Is there anything interesting about Austrian, the Airline /Flightcrew / Pilots etc?
Probably an Airbus I think
Anything interesting re the Flight I'm thinking of sitting on the sunset side of the A/c any interesting views or facts about the approach
Believe the Pilots have to be certified for the Airport re go arounds etc?
Anything interesting gratefully received
Thanks Boyd

Bit late now but Innsbruck Approach is on a good day very interesting from a passengers point of view. The scenes of the mountains especially at this time of the year are simply beautiful. Only flew Austrian once but was not to impressed but few many more times with British Eagle in the 60's and more recent airlines with Airbus aircraft. My best flight into Innsbruck can only be in the DC 6 G-APSA in 2008. What a flight! Snow had just fallen and the mountains looked fantastic with a cloudless sky. Followed by a very warm welcome from the Austrians and a few of the Ex Austrian Eagle staff of the 50's and 60's. It was a trip that I will not forget.
