View Full Version : ME/IR Renewal after expiry

Hey guys,

I decided to ask about this here as I'm wondering what to do. I'm european and have done JAA/EASA PPL, CPL, ATPL theories, ME/IR, etc.

My ME/IR has just expired as I have been sick and unable to fly like I was suppose to. I called my countrys aviation authorities who ensured that taking a few flights before new skill test would be sufficient.

But I have started to think about flying a bit more and to another plane type as I have flown seneca before, but those are no longer available as this is a small country.

So here's my question:

Can I fly dual flights in other flight school outside my country to another multi-engine piston plane ?

Can I fly in United States without valid ME/IR to get some hours built on new plane for cheaper ? (I have friends around the states who would accommodate me, thats why I'm asking)

What flight school you would recommend if I want to be able to renew my ME/IR for low cost ? Here it would cost easily 1000€/h for plane + instructor etc.

Thank you for any advice and information!
