Hello guys,

I'm currently doing an ATPL course in Serbia, where I believe the authorities provide a JAA License.

However, I am a British Citizen and I'm wondering can I automatically convert it or get an English Pilots license after I finish.

Is it also possible to sit my exams in front of the English CAA, instead of doing infront of the Serbian Directorate?

Thanks for the advice in advance!

Hi Stefan,

Check out the CAA CAP 804 document. It's the former LASORS for the old JAA. If you don't find it on the internet, ask UK CAA through website and they will send you a copy. Everything is in there.

Good flights mate!

This is Europe - you can pick and choose now. A lot depends on where your medical records are held - but once you have your licence you can move it around. If you did your studying and exams in UK, that would still be valid.

It won't be an English pilot licence though - it will be EASA based in UK :)
