Brilliant Stuff

Thank you for producing the monthly calendars. You do an excellent job which is much appreciated by all.
One small but important point: The caption needs to be changed to Melbourne.

Eureka Tower is a 975 ft (297.3m) high rise on the South bank of the Yarra River. The photograph was taken from the R44 reflected in the building when I went flying with Rotorheads regular John Eacott last November.

Credit to PPRuNe Towers who used his photographic skills to remove the haze.

Yep . .. . . stunning work. Calendars have come a long way. (While the years still fly by as they ever have.)

FL - think PPRuNe Towers may have been using photoshopping skills rather than photographic ones. If you will excuse the pedantry.
How long were you here? Did you get to visit and fly round many places?

FantomeHow long were you here? Did you get to visit and fly round many places?

We were in Australia for the whole of November and visited quite a few places.
I managed to do some flying and also had some interesting flights as a passenger.

Queensland
Heron Island (Great Barrier Reef), Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Oyster Cove, Stradbroke Island.
I did some flying at Blue Tongue Helicopters (general handling in a Bell 47 with CFI Graeme Gillies who also, at my request, demonstrated heli-mustering techniques (amazing handling skills!) and an R44 flight along the glorious coast with instructor Dave Lawrence.
I also visited EMQ Helicopter Rescue at Archerfield.
NSW
Sydney, including a flight over the city with the NSW Police Air Wing (Keith Stewart) and visiting Peter Holstein at Aerowasp Helicopters, Camden.
Northern Territory
Scenic flight over Ayers Rock and the Olgas with PHS.
Victoria
Melbourne.
We stayed at Riddells Creek near the Macedon mountain range with Ppruner John Eacott. I did a lot of flying with John, including accompanying him on a photo-shoot flight over Melbourne.
Great Ocean Road.
Fixed-wing flying (passenger) with the MAF training school at Coldstream in which field ops were simulated.
Canberra ACT
No flying, but a great time with some RAAF aviators.
South Australia
Adelaide incl McLaren Vale wineries.
I flew a Schweizer 300 CBi with Alan 'Mac' McCarthy, CFI of the Rotary Wing at FTA. Mac was previously a SAAF pilot and CFI Helicopters at their 43 Air School.
Fixed-wing flying (C172 and Rans RV) at Aldinga.

A wonderful month in which we saw quite a lot, but still only scratched the surface of an enormous country.
We'll have to come back. :)
