Hi, i am joining Emirates, living in Dubai. Can anyone tell me if its standard procedure that Emirates should require to see ORIGINAL passports for my kids to qualify for the consessionary fares?

The children live with their mother in the UK. Will copies of their passports not be enough?

Passport copies will do just fine. Then itīs just a matter of all the other documents, birth certificates that will have to be notarised by this and that. Check with your joining coordinator for the latest procedures as these change from time to time.

Welcome to Dubai!

We made up a "Big book of" passport copies, visa copies, birth certificates, marriage certificates, passport photos, drivers licences.

Any time you need anything, you usually have to provide copies of some combination of the above, so having a stock is a time saver.

Varmint is correct.

But once you have the tedious untrusting bureaucracy out of the way, you can go sailing :)
