Now I've asked about the medical side in a different section of this forum but I need a clear answer.

I'm a type 1 diabetic and wish to become a microlight instructor and now diabetics can obtain class 1 &2 medicals will I be able to instruct on microlights?

Thanks

DVLA medical - there are no special differences between microlight pilots and their instructors.

I'm not an expert on this, so if you're not either, the best thing to do is contact BMAA HQ in Deddington - they have a volunteer medical advisor who should be able to tell you if there's likely to be any problem getting that medical.

But if you can, you should so far as I know be able to both fly microlights, and eventually teach on them.

And enjoy it!
