Can someone please tell me about the composition of Hydro One's helicopter fleet? I know they have at least one AS350 B2 from their website but I can't find anything more. Thanks in advance.

Four AS350 B2s (C-GOHH, C-GOHY, C-GOHS & C-GHOH), three AS350 B3s (C-GHOY, C-GHOD & C-GHON) and one remaining L-1 LongRanger (C-FANV).

Many thanks. They obviously wisely got rid (or Ontario Hydro got rid) of the S-58Ts.

Didn't they have a Puma at one time as well?

Yes they had a Puma started in 1991 and retired in 1998, The S-58Tīs were retired in 1991.
Note in June they marked 60 years of operations

Well, a number of years ago I visited the Ontario Hydro hangar at Pearson International. I spoke to one of the engineers who told me they were concerned about the 90 deg T/R gearboxes on their Ts. I've also heard of 90 deg T/R gearboxes failing on the Ts.

The 90 degree gearbox is rock solid.....there was a batch of t/r spindles that were found after the 58t crash that did not meet spec after an incorrect heat treating process....also the t/r pylon could break the transition fittings if pilots were heavy footed.....:=
