Unmasking the RQ-180 (http://www.aviationweek.com/Blogs.aspx?plckBlogId=Blog:27ec4a53-dcc8-42d0-bd3a-01329aef79a7&plckPostId=Blog%3A27ec4a53-dcc8-42d0-bd3a-01329aef79a7Post%3A764f0843-3aa6-4b63-a879-13326ce408a2)

No piloted option I'm afraid...

Makes you wonder what was wrong with the last one at the rate they are churning these things out, Henry Ford would have been proud of them.

In the picture is the UAV in front air to air refuelling the other UAV behind it? If you squint you can just make out what looks like a basket and black hose. Maybe it's our new tanker fleet:-)

Unusual to see you using the d-word, Leon....

Or have you at last accepted the generic term 'drone' for these things?

I tried to get an OZ Army Intel. Officer interested in looking round a (reasonably) fast jet in Germany in the late 70's.

" Nah, thanks, but no thanks. Not interested. They're all going to be replaced by drones.
Come to think of it, most are flown by them already."

Very clever (the refuelling, that is) but what's the point...other than to upset Beagle?

Like us UOTC lot, the UAS guys were quite stealthy albeit in the bar sense :)

Don't forget China's equiv of the Global hawk as well as SOAR Dragon have appeared over the last year or so

Chinese UAV & UCAV development - Page 23 (http://www.sinodefenceforum.com/air-force/chinese-uav-ucav-development-23-3526.html)

The Google Earth / Map images of Plant 42 Palmdale don't show anything special TBH. One time you could see a B-2 outside one of the production hangars at Palmdale the other year but not now

Cheers
