Dassault is preparing to deliver the first Falcon 2000S to an Indian customer following certification of the super-midsize business jet by the country’s civil aviation authority on 1 November.

The aircraft will be handed over to an unnamed Bangalore-based customer in December. The 10-seat twin-jet has already been approved by the US, European, Brazilian, Mexican and Turkish aviation authorities and Canadian validation is expected shortly, the French airframer says.

The 2000S was launched in May 2011 as a rival to Bombardier’s Challenger 300 and Gulfstream’s G280. The twinjet features inboard leading edge wing slats, high-Mach blended winglets, Pratt & Whitney PW308C engines and an approach speed of 107kt (198km/h), allowing it to land at airports with challenging, steep approaches and short runways – such as London City airport in the UK capital.

The 2000S also sports a BMW Group DesignworksUSA interior and a redesigned cockpit incorporating the EASy II flightdeck. Dassault has delivered 10 of the types to date.

I´m officially jealous.

Wanna trade it for an old Sovereign and, say, a bottle or two of Veuve champagne ? Or crate of german beer ? :uhoh:

So, who will that Indian customer be calling for software support?

the same that they call for their 2000 EX I believe :ugh::ugh::ugh::ugh:

But they do not want the plane, you can strike a good deal..

Does a type rating on the Falcon 2000S cover all Falcon 2000 models or are you just restricted to flying the Falcon 2000S?

Yogibaboo

It covers all Falcon 2000 EASy models. First you do Falcon 2000EX EASy I Initial (3 weeks), then 2-days Differences 2000S EASy II.

Thanks guys. It will be interesting to see how the Falcon 2000S competes with the new Bombardier Challenger 350 in terms of sales.

The inboard slats are wonderful, indeed. Vrefs are nice and low and - contrary to pictures in the brochures - the cockpit actually looks nice. CPDLC works, too... :ok:

CPDLC works, too...

you mean as in Honeywell has its act together ? Woah, then I want it twice as much as I already do. What a difference to the old Sovereign....where they don´t have a clue when and how CPDLC will come...

Duf,

How do you find CAE DXB? Seems to be not a bad idea for training during european winter season.

hi Actually it was good
i went in January temperature around 25° a bit of fog sometimes.
good training facilities , free food excellent crew lounge.
a lots of hotels available around (20 min Drive) and a driver to pick you up from/to the hotel or airport to CAE.
the training was far better than FSI Paris.
its a shame we have to use FSI TEB otherwise i will do all my recurrent in DXB.
cheers

Looks like I'll be in Burgess Hill for that 2000EXS-EASy II rating (wow, what great title to add to the CV...did I spell it correctly?).
Any suggestions for suitable hotels and proper food (maybe not eat fish&chips every day...) and other things to do apart from heavy studies , and also, is it a good idea to have a car available?
Would have preferred to do it in DXB but they have the SIM there in F900 mode.
