As always Airways New Zealand and NZCAA have shown their true colours by the spiteful corruption of data that was available to Apps like NZ Airfields. They have done this without notice to any of their users and without explanation. And what's more they can't get past their own self importance to provide an alternative. Never in my experience of aviation in any part of the world have I come across a bunch of dorks as those that continue to inhibit and make life difficult for GA aviation in New Zealand.

Their actions parallel those of a corrupt state that is intent on crushing growth for the benefit of a few with theirs hands in the back pocket of a government that has no interest in what is good for the people it purports to represent.

The people at the top of these organisations need to take a long hard look at themselves and contemplate their day of judgement.... it is likely that if they don't change their ways they will regret their inability to be true leaders.

Yes indeed. Looks like my iPad EFBNZ app has stopped working.

It's time now anyway for NZ to move to Jeppesen like the rest of the world..

somewhat fixt.

and for the op, you think spiteful or is it really just blissful ignorance? if developers of those apps have paid royalties or for a licence to access that info, you might have a point

This is probably due to the change on the AIP page to include a disclaimer which must be accepted before proceeding onto the website.
Suspect the app developers haven't updated their programmes to catch up with this change.
It's still free :)

There is talk of an official app "sanctioned" by AIP/Airways, with the idea to have more reliable/accountable option, i believe it will cost. you can still download the PDFs you require and put them in folders on the ipad, its less effecient but still works

Rumor is they are 'negotiating' with App developers. The silence is deafening on an explanation to users.

I switched to Jeppesen having cancelled my AIP subscription. Jeppesen on the iPad with geo-referenced charts and plates are awesome. Thanks for the pointer.
