It will be amazing what a Japanese Aegis Destroyer backed up by a Virginia class submarine (on training from the US of course) can do to restrain China. Then add when the GW leaves the Philippines it can conduct operations west of Okinawa. For the Chinese it will be them playing the Argies in the Falklands without any chance of doing anything.
