Can anybody in north west help with this?
Seems a shame at this particular time and particularly given the timing of the funeral

I've just seen it on fb. I can't attend but here's the image for those that don't do 'social' media...

Very sad situation :( RIP Coe, and thank you for your service :D

I've forwarded the article to the RAFA Press & Media Office.
Hopefully, they'll be able to get someone from the Preston RAFA to attend.

Pity there's not a couple of 'Tiffies' air testing out of Warton which is literally just down the road that morning.

Just watched a clip on ITV Granada about this and circa 2000 are expected now.

Preston RAFA called me back this evening. Now that they're aware of it (had several calls today), there will most certainly be an RAF presence! Phew!

What a shame that Mr Coe Percival did not get this attention when he was alive and that it has taken a newspaper advert to get anyone to go to his funeral. Well done to those who are making the effort now.

Hope he is sitting on a cloud somewhere with a big grin on his face. RIP

True Cynicalint, but he will have just been another face in an ageing crowd, same goes for all of those ex Servicemen, some of which from our latest conflicts are now forced to live a life of homelessness on the streets....

What Inspires me in this whole sad tale is the fact that no one else recognised his service to our Country but the undertakers, and they have gone that extra mile to try an honour that debt, something that is inspiring in itself.
One hopes that now he will get a fitting tribute from a Country that he so justly deserves.
