Harold Jellicoe Percival, a distant relative of Spencer Perceval – the only British prime minister to be assassinated – helped with the famous Dambusters raids during the second world war.

I noticed in the photographs in the Daily Mail,

that several young chaps with what I take to be Cranwell cadets (white hatbands and epaulettes). Along with other representatives of the RAF. Great response from the service community, as always, and a real credit to the youngsters who "carry the torch" these days. RIP Harold, your passing was certainly recognised.
