hello All,

i have a few (5) thousand hours of flying, mainly utility (longline seismic and diamond drills) on as350.
i was wondering if self funding a TR for a considered large aircraft would be a good idea to evolve in this industry ? or if doing so would be wrongly perceived by a prospective employer...
i never did and dont want to work for free, just want to move up...

thanks for sharing...

One always has the wrong type rating.
That said, it should be payed for by the employer. I've held 9 ratings so far and not funded a single one. Big twin will come up soon, back to school...:E

Edit: A TR alone might not do the trick. Employers want / need to see 50 or even 100 hours on type in most cases now, which has to do with rules/regulations or customer requirements.
