Hi. Just thinking out loud really. But say for example you were currently flying the A319/320 and you were to successfully get a job on the 733 at Jet2, how would the training vary from an initial TR? Would you still do full base training and is the line training shortened or is it still 50+ sectors?

Also in terms of recruitment can you apply for a specific base? Or is a matter of applying and getting whatever is available at the time for a base (ie could you hold off starting your TR until your base of choice becomes available)? And how does the base transfer protocol work?

As far as I am aware, Jet2 are not a TRTO, and they don't use a TRTO which is ZFT rated for the 737, but I could be wrong.

Yes, you would still have to do base training as the TR is not ZFT.

As you have jet experience, you'd be required to do 20 sectors min line training.

You can specify a base or bases as a preference, but you're not guaranteed to get the one you wish straight away. You'll be offered the base that you're needed at. You can't hold off until your base becomes available. Jet2 are pretty good at getting you to your base of choice as quickly as possible. You put your name on the list, and as soon as your at the top of the list for that base, and there is a vacancy, you'll be offered it.

Pretty much everyone who joined this year out of their preferred base and wanted to move got their base move for the start of next year.
