Lovely jubbly - but it's grown genital warts since I last flew it - doubtless F Troop.

Lovely pics - thanks

For the ignorant, and without attracting the black Omegas, is that SF kit in all the twiddly bits?

It's in the public domain nowadays;

Great photographs. There are some really talented people around here.

OK, I'll be the first "Logbook Rustler". The last time was 21 Jun '75, on a flypast at Aldershot. The last flight down route was 20 Aug '74, returning from a nightstop in Gib.

That's spooky - I was in an art shop in Hay today and there was a print of 295 doing an ULLA drop. I didn't notice the name of the artist other than it wasn't Mike Rondot.

The ULLA drop picture is by Anthony Cowland and is in my opinion the best painting of a Hercules that I have seen. A copy hangs in my 'study'.

Nice pics Chaz,

I only did two trips on 295, the first a Gander flyer with a 70 crew in 1990. The second a day trip to Gib with 30. In my day the SF frames I flew on with them were 200, 205.

Smudge :ok:

Only flew it twice, both MCT once in 86 and once in 88.....see I did do my share of MCT's

Flew her 39 times in total. All in AFG. Last trip was a KAF BSN shuttle on 28 May 06.

Great aircraft and it looked after me well

I first flew 295 on Op DENY into Gioia Del Colle on 18 April 1993 and then back to LYE later the same day.

Op DENY started on 12 April 1993 and we were the first Herc into Gioia bringing in kit, IIRC, for the Jaguar Force.

In just over 2000 hrs Albert, that was the sole time I flew 295.

(Also Smudge is correct, back in those days 295 certainly wasn't an SF 'frame.)

First time was 26 Nov 1968, MCT circuit bashing at Fairford (30 Sqn). Last time was 11 Sep 1972, Bardufoss to Lyneham (47 Sqn). Can't say that the various mods have enhanced her looks much, but glad that (unlike me) she's still airborne.
