understand a sea king hc4 made a very very hard landing today at yl, crew ok, but major damaged to sea king poss cat 5.

Fix the airframe or bin it, at the end of the day the only important thing is that the crew are all ok.

understand crashed up by histric flt end, slamed onto runway broke into two tail off, wheels etc, crew ok , coded H .ze428 cat4or5 prob wont be repaired.

Very hard landing!!! If it broke in two then that is management bulls@@t. It's a crash ffs. The crew are safe.... tick. Let's call it what it is.

Glad the crew are safe.

The yellow Seaking at Lossiemouth had a very heavy landing and they literally stapled the tail boom back on again. Must be built like a tank and keeps on flying.

Images of the recovery effort have appeared on Facebook with one witness quoted as saying those involved are "lucky to be alive".
One Facebook user, Claire Worth, said: "My husband witnessed it as it was his squadron. It was a Sea King and those lads are lucky to be alive."
