Could any Airbussy current, please have a stab at this please.

Why is the FD recycled on/off on the runway when doing Touch and Goes during base training?

Is it to put the system back into the Takeoff phase as opposed to go-around mode - and/or take it out off Landing mode?

I see I`ve probably crossed a couple of factors here.

Hi Natstrackalpha,
Simply set TOGA briefly, and FDs will reappear even if turned off,
Man TOGA, SRS.

Thank you all for your answers. I appreciate them.

I was wanting to know why we re-cycle the FD - what does it do, apart from simply sw off and then back on again the FD - what does it re-set, it re-sets a lot of stuff?

Nats - we take of with FD on and in turn downwind, switch off and put FPV on. The rest of the circuit is flown like this.
On the T&G select TOGA and FD reappears in HDG/VS (MAN TOGA/SRS/RW)
Does that help?

Thank you all.
I was imagining it. The FD is not recycled, don`t know where I got that from, read it somewhere in training manual City. Moreover the FD is selected (scuze pun) - not recycled - when flaps 2 and Hdg/VS is selected
after F/O has set 50%......

Also - not actually doing it yet. So no panic (for now). Thank you for your inputs. Espesh MCDU and rudderrudderrat
