Hi guys

We were ready for taxi when heard on frecuency: stby, aircraft on emergency. We were listening the radio, really bad situation listening them, cool and calm guys, some kids crying on the back. Nice landing although it was already night and couldnīt see much detail from VKO3. Looks like they had no main landing gear, foam on the runway and some sparks when touchdown. Lotīs of emergency services on the runway waiting

Congratulations to them for the landing !!!!!

Also congratulations to VKO emergency services !!!!

MOSCOW, September 7 (RIA Novosti) – A business jet with 10 people on board belly-landed safely at Moscow’s Vnukovo airport Saturday evening after its undercarriage failed to lower for landing, an emergency services source said.
“The aircraft, flying from Naples, landed on its belly on a runway coated in foam. No-one was hurt,” the source said.

The Challenger 100 aircraft had three crew and seven passengers on board. It had spent some time circling the runway to burn off fuel before attempting to land, the source said.

Does anyone know if there is a flight tracking site where you can just put "Naples" and "Vnukovo" with the date and it gives you a list of aircraft?

Trying to confirm the registration.

Moscow (Russia) - A plane of the company Turkish air charter private jets MNG made a landing on the belly of the Vnukovo in Moscow (Russia) due to an inability to leave the international airport being at the approach. L aircraft, a Bombardier CL-600-2B19 CRJ-200ER, registration TC-EJA, who had to make the link between the international airport of Naples (Italy) and Vnukovo International Airport in Moscow, with 10 passengers and 3 crew members on board, was on approach to 21:15 local time, when the pilots reported problems train output. After several attempts to try to correct the concern they took the decision to land on its belly. 's firefighters poured foam on track to reduce friction and landing aircraft landed on the belly, the remaining aircraft on the runway. Emergency services arrived on the scene to take charge of the occupants. It seems that there are no injuries. The airport was closed for the night and disengagement operations of the track will last until tomorrow morning. They are saying it is EJA but Jets MNG instead of Europe Jet?

The MNG Jet website (http://www.mngjet.com/our-fleet-continues-to-grow-8th-aircraft-has-recently-joined-our-fleet.html) is saying that TC-EJA joined their AOC earlier in the year so I'm guessing that Europe Jet (http://www.europejet.aero/aboutus.html) are using their AOC and maybe MNG are also doing their maintenance for them etc.

On the technical side, can any of you explain which are the emergency gear down systems and which maybe the reason for not working?

I would appreciate professional information, not to open a debate. Those guys had enough the other day.

Thanks to all

The emergency gear extension on the CRJs is accomplished by pulling on the emergency extension handle which is on the aft part of the central pedestal. Its position is such that it's rather awkward to pull from either pilot seat, so I was taught from my initial CRJ course that the PM should actually get up from his seat in order to pull on it. Once pulled, the handle will go through 4 "clicks", the first one being the nose doors opening, then one each for each gear leg. In addition to poor positioning, there is another "gotcha" in the system in that there is a button in the center of the handle in order to pull on the handle, and the button must be let go in order for the handle to stay extended, else it will try to restow. Once the handle is pulled, the mechanical uplocks release, the dump valves open, and the gear falls under their own weight. Read more here:

Bombardier CRJ 00 Landing Gear (http://www.smartcockpit.com/aircraft-ressources/Bombardier_CRJ_00-Landing_Gear.html)

If it didn't work, it maybe because:

1. The crew tried to pull the handle, but did it incorrectly, which is not hard to do due to the reasons described above.

2. The uplocks did not release or the dump valves did not open, which doesn't seem likely, but stranger things have happened...

Thanks for the link, just read how the system works.

Itīs a quite simple system, gravity. Read this note.

NOTE

Considerable force is required to
operate the landing gear manual release
system.

It is interesting to note that images of the recent accidents, the airline name and logo on the aircraft are immediately covered...has this become SOP worldwide?

Not sure if this is a worldwide procedure but many companies now have this as an SOP yes.

Unfortunately some always land on their feet and walk away with their pockets full of money.

EJ was unable to obtain their own AOC hence the deal with the other operator.
The ceo is well known in Turkey and every company that he worked for went bust. He claimes to be a captain but has no single command hour, even struggled to pass his self funded 320 rating.
A good salesman though who knows how to talk and people tend to believe him until he takes all the money and runs.
His cv is fake BS from beginnig to the end - does nobody ever check a backround anymore these days? He lies whenever his lips move.
Rumours has it that he collected the money from the insurance and run again but this time the Iranian owner is on his tail now - hope he got new good running shoes:D
