G'day,

I've been trying to get into offshore flying for the last couple of years. I am not particularly experienced (1200 hours, ATPL & IREX) but most off the companies I've spoken to have said I need multi and offshore time to meet client minimums. Now I understand that the oil companies will have mins but
how do you get the multi hours and offshore time that some of the companies require? :ugh:

I would happily go to one of the international touring companies but they will only employ co-pilots from the country they are operating in (it seems). If I had Captain levels of experience, no problems but then I wouldn't need to tour internationally anyway.

Any advice? Please.:)

I presume that you did apply to the latest round of Bristow advertisements in Oz? I believe they were deluged with applicants so if you applied, I don't know where you would have been in the pack.

Hi Huey, that's incorrect. I know most of the guys that got in recent times don't have any multi time. just keep plugging away and be patient. :ok:
