Would anyone be willing to divulge the salary for an FO and Capt at CareFlight? Seriously considering applying but can't find pay rates anywhere on the net. Any info on roster patterns would be handy as well.

Yeah I went sniffing around there years ago, it's a boys club there not what ya know but who ya know. Like most of aviation, pretty locked up & tight in certain area's.

Kagamuga, you beat me to it. My sentiments exactly.

As for rosters - it is an on-demand aeromedical operation, using jets, so one would expect considerable periods of standby at home interrupted by short term notice to scramble to distant destinations.

These jobs tend to be no good for building hours, but good for getting experience within the hours. No good for going sailing, but fine for improving one's golf handicap. Etc.

This thread is very quiet. There was a short piece about CareFlight Queensland in Aero Australia this month. Looks like an interesting company and interesting work for those lucky enough to get the jobs.

Position filled, end of story now a dead end.
It's an exciting life but not really healthy for a family man.
