I see the Saudi's have/are starting to invade Brize and Coningsby in preparation for the Green Flag exercise which starts on the 2nd of Sept, Saudi Typhoons, Tornado IDS, C-130s and A330 MRTTs are the Saudi participants. I understand II(AC) are deploying to Coningsby as well! Not quite Red Flag but, interesting none the less... :)

If last weekend in London was anything to go by, they've got shed loads of fans over to support them :p
Even managed to extract smile from bird in hijab (she was probably thinking: 'In yer dreams, granddad!' :{

How long is the exercise on for?

Quite busy myself this week with the Shoreham Airshow but might be able to get to Coningsby next week with the camera if still running.

Thanks Ron

Exercise is for 3 weeks. Tornadoes and Typhoons departed Taif yesterday (monday). They were working up during last week at Taif.

I do hope that someone spends a long time explaining how UK airspace works...The Turks for a couple of days of TLP was entertaining enough :ok:

They didn't seem to have much of a clue the last time they were here, at Lossie.

Seems like they are in the wrong place right now; more realistic if flying out of Akrotiri perhaps!

You may find that they're actually in the right place :-)

29(R)'s Akrotiri det appears to have been binned/postponed, the 10 jets are currently at Waddo...
