I heard a rumour that a Chinese company were taking over Schweizer, but could never find anything to substantiate it.

Hope something does happen to protect the S300. Enstrom are now in Chinese ownership and seem to be thriving.

Given the end-user destination mentioned, one has to ask what this says about the state of the AC310 (http://www.pprune.org/rotorheads/514280-schweizer-sale.html#post7832412) production line.

It appears Sikorsky has been losing money on every 300C built but was contracted to build these aircraft. Unless they can cut costs either directly or through suppliers it may be the end of the road for the 300.

We can still get pretty much anything for our S300's.
Dealing with Sikorsky though is how should I say.. A tad difficult!!
