Agood friend of mine has lost all of his RAAF gear through a break in at his house.
The biggest loss is his flying badge for his 1A dress uniform, which is really a half wing with the letter C.
This position is no longer used by the RAAF and so there are no unissued ones in store.
I remember for a very good friend of mine, who served in the RAF as a parachute jump instructor , that I was able to get him a replacement from a company in the UK who specialized in gold thread work. All I did was send them a colour photo and size of what I needed and about a month later it turned up.
I no longer have their name and address but I believe they made all the officers
hat badges.
We could with this info I am sure be able to get him a replacement.
Anyone any thoughts on this matter
Thanks
Col
