Low timer pilot + IR-H

What is your opinion?

Finished CPL-H in 2010.
I now have 206 hours total.
All on r22 & r44
I'm tried of not getting a job
I'm 23 years old

I have the money, should i take the IR-H?

I visited a shcool in Glauchester they said almost every pilot also low timer pilots that took their IR rating on their shcool got a job offshore.
I talked with Bond they have been hiring some low timers with 200 total and IR.
(Or do they say that to take money from you if you take the IR there?)

Does anybody know if there is a chance to Get hired by Bond or anyone if I take the IR at Bond.

Yes. If you take a multi-eng IR(H), you have excellent chances.

What is the EHS?

I'm thinking of take the theory in Norway then take the flying at Bond.
And hopefully Get a job there or somewhere Else.

I've heard that there is some tests on the interview what is that? Difficult?

EHS is an instrument flying school in Norway for helicopters.

EHS is not the shcool, I think you mean EHC (European Helicopter Center)
I took my CPL-H there.
I don't want to take the IR there, I think it would be better to take it on Bond, because if they need pilots and you have done the program well, I think there might be a bigger possibility to get hired there than if you come from EHC or another shcool.

Or?

I don't know about age, but I've seen someone I know age of 25-35 that has the job. I don't know if there is a plus if youre young or old.

It's a tough industry and I feel the pain too. Even with 6000+ hours multi-PIC and IFR I'm struggling to find my next opportunity...if I had an AW139 type rating then sure, plenty of opportunities. But alas no.

Hi

Many go and do the psychological test before they start the IR. This guy does these kinds of tests for private and also for many companies. I think he was taking 800 nkr for it few years back. That is not that much to pay if you are going for IR. At least he can tell you what your chances are. And there are probably other that do it as well. This was just the first one that came up when I googled it.

I see that it can be difficult amd i know it's difficult.
But i will not give up!
I will take the IR and search jobs everywhere!

Speaking to someone I know in the training department at Bond they advised me that Bond are in need of pilots at the moment.
Spending your money on the IR is a gamble, as there is no guarantee of a job after you get it because the market might have changed within a month or two.
You COULD try calling back to the person you spoke with at Bond (Offshore) and pushing your luck for an interview for a conditional position? (Condition being you obtain the IR by a certain date) I know they've done this in the past but that was before the night of the long knives which led to regime change there. I should also mention it was with higher hours pilots.

You need to have technical knowledge. They will not ask multi-choice questions :)
