Hi guys,

I've checked if something like this was posted but cannot find it, so I hope it's not a repeat question.

My training has been staggered for the last few years due to job loss etc because of our recession (qualified electrician) but I'm back training hard after completely changing career and climbing the pay ladder again to fund it. I'm starting the ATPLs this week and I will be doing the MEIR/CPL at the same time next year so I'm trying to find out that when I start training for my MEIR can I count those hours to carry me above the minimum for the CPL requirements?

I have 132 hours and my PIC time to about 68. I have paid up front for 22 hours so I can save during my ATPLs for the MEIR/CPL whilst still getting some flying done at the same time. Do I need to save (I plan to get a loan-less license) for another 10 to take me over the mark?

Ps 40 hours will be done on an FNPT 11

MEIR training must be logged as Dual or P/ut depending on what you want to call it. None of the training can be logged as PIC when there is an instructor in the aircraft with you, it will all be P/ut or in the exceptional case where it is an examiner beside you and you are doing a test, if you pass you can log it as PICUS.

Yep, I thought as much. I read conflicting answers on a google search so just thought I get one here. Thanks for the help!
