CARES Aiplane Safety Harness For Children (http://www.caresaustralia.com.au/)

I was going to give this mob a call tomorrow but just wanted to see if anyone has had any experience with these in GA aircraft? Primarily designed for airliner travel with a lap only belt, but I dont see how they wouldn't be the same for the lap-sash belts in GA planes, just leave out the sash bit. Would be perfect for my 2 kids and so much better than lugging around car child seats. Apparently they are CASA approved.

I have had the lap ones that also have a shoulder harness that attached to the upper back of the seat.
They work well.

Just make sure they are fitted correctly. That type of child restraint in cars, when fitted and worn incorrectly, is responsible for severe abdominal injuries in accidents. The lap part must be worn very firm and as low on the torso as possible, shoulder restraints can be just snugged up.
What happens in an accident, if the lap belt is lose and shoulder harness tight, as the shoulders move forward in deceleration, they tighten and lift the shoulder belts, which also lifts the lap belt. This results in the child submarining and the lap belt somewhere just below the rib cage.
