With the AUSSAR contracts beginning to expire in a couple of months any word on who's taking over?

Aerorescue have recruited a number of blokes (4 or 6 I think) as FO for the Dornier, shortly heading to Europe for endorsement.

...a fair indication?

A mate in Cobham tells me they have been practicing air-drops from modified Dash 8s. Perhaps they are confident of picking up the contract?

I think Cobham will be the winner. It will be interesting to see who wins out and why!

You would like to think so wouldn't you. All too often companies employ pilots and soon after close the doors.
It seems very unfair to leave a position for what seems to be progression and a stable future only to be out of work soon after.

I have no idea who will win, we can only hope for the best result for all.
