787s suddenly seem to be ten a penny at LHR - I see United, Air India and Ethiopian have joined Qatar in regular ops. Still haven't had a really good close look at one though.

FR24 tells me that ET-AOS is inbound, just need to remember to look out the window in 45 mins and hope the cloudy bits have gone away... :ok:

Nice to see BA getting two new aircraft close together - must be something of a first for them at least in recent years.

I couldn't resist feeling slightly amused that it is getting acclimatised to the London TMA by a few trips round the Bovingdon hold before it reaches its new home. No doubt it will spend a good few hours of its BA career inthe Heathrow stacks so why not introduce it to the holding habit right away.

Must say it looks good in the B.A. colour scheme as its long haul shouldn't get too dirty. Anyone has any theories why the 787 has "Pie crust" trailing edges on the engine cowls and the A 380 hasn't.:hmm::hmm::hmm:

Over concentration on my work and a slight Internet lag contrived to get me to the window in time to see the wee beastie abeam Wimbledon.

By the way, while I had FR24 configured to just show 787s, I noted Norwegian Express's first example heading towards Oslo (or wherever).

If anyone's looking tomorrow, G-ZBJB was towed to behind the Cathedral hangar and G-ZBJA is parked next to the former BMI hangar.
