Splash and dash so they had enough holding fuel for their arrival into Aus. They didnt want bad press also.

Looks like that Tiger A320 in Fiji a year ago makes sense now that Virgin have announced that their 100% owned Tigerair subsidiary will be looking at short haul international sectors.

Looks identical to Jetstar cannibalising Qantas routes despite what JB tries to spin. Already happening on Virgin mainline.

Makes sense that VA 100% control Tiger, with VA's recent press about refitting aircraft with Business class seats, VA aim at Qantas with Business class and higher airfares for Y pax with more service maybe? Tiger aim at Jetstar with low cost seats.
