Reasonably priced Gulfstream Sim time

GV PIC, in between jobs, considering paying for some Sim time to knock off the rust, although what I have been quoted is $3500/hr and upward.

Anyone know how to find rates lower than this? I have heard independent contractors pay a lower rate, but unsure how to get this discount.

I spoke with FSI about this two months ago, and was told that they are trying to end the practice of selling off time without instruction.... Don't know if this is across all sim centers or not.

I would think that CAE in Dubai or Shanghai would offer the lowest cost.
