Hi,

I am having a hard time finding a Grob 115 to fly in Souther California. I will have my interviews and flight grading with an airline this coming summer and they use the Grob G 115. I want to fly a Grob before that to get familiar with the controls and basic handlings. Thanks! :ok:

There's only 8 in the USA.

All are privately owned.

So your out of luck.

Check the FAA registry at FAA Registry - Aircraft - Make / Model Inquiry (http://registry.faa.gov/aircraftinquiry/AcftRef_Results.aspx?Mfrtxt=GROB&Modeltxt=115&PageNo=1)

Take up anything low-wing and with a stick, something like a Robin, and just pay attention to the pilots notes.

How about a Diamond DA 20?

You might make history by being the first person to ever travel from California to the UK for flying training, but Tayside Aviation use, I think, G115s, and have a good reputation.

Flights from the USA to Glasgow Prestwick are fairly inexpensive, and then it's just a few hours by train from Prestwick to Dundee. You'd certainly gain some interesting flying experience to talk about in your interviews - Scotland offers (when the weather is good), flying every bit as spectacular as in California, but utterly different.
