Hello,

Thinking if you are requested to do a start up operation and setting an OCC, What systems / tools would you be using?

Or,

What tools / Systems do you currently have in your OCC ?

Personally, I would go for:

1- Flight planning : Jetplan / Jetplanner
2- Messaging : ARINC Avinet for AFTN & Type B messaging
3- Crew Management : ARMS CMSS - Crew Management Sub system OR Cesar
4- TODC / RTOW : PEP for Airbus fleet OR Navtech TODC
5- Air To Ground Comms : Stockholm Radio (Aviolinx)
6- Fleet management / Flight Following : ARMS FOSS

What else would you use or currently have in your OCC ?

Regards

It would depend on the size of the start up, however for say a start up aiming to become midsize airline of around 30-60 aircraft mixed fleet with short and longhaul operations;

AIMS/Sabre/OPS++ for scheduling, fleet and crew tracking
LIDO or Jetplanner for flight planning and crew briefing
A flight watch tool, sabre or flightwinds from lufthansa if you go with LIDO for flight planning, as this links into the other lufthansa products
AIRDATA or Hermes for ACARS processing, creating and distribution
SITA or ARINC
Jeppessen e-link and taylored charting service for the aircraft
Nav Database service
MS Office
and we wont forget the kettle & a TV (for the ongoing news issues obviously)
