Hi, this is a weird question but I'm a scale modeller in my spare time and I'm trying to make a 1/32 as332mk2 but can only buy a sa330 kit. Can anyone tell me what the difference in lenth is between the two types. Thanks

The difference between a 330 and a 332 is there is an extra plug to lengthen the fuselage directly behind the cockpit. If you compare pictures of the real thing you will see a larger passenger window at the fron of the cabin. I don't know what the dimensions are as I am away from work and the flight manual etc, sorry.

Good luck though.

I'm pretty sure a g00gle search for "sa330 Puma dimensions" and "EC225 dimensions" will find what you want :ok:

The very first 'Super Puma' was one of the original bulbous nosed 330 prototypes with Makila engines, single wheel undercarriage and a one metre plug in the rear fuselage. The production model switched the plug to the front.
The Mk 2 reintroduced the rear plug so now the 332 L2 and the 225 have both plugs.
The plugs are easy; the problem is with the windows and the undercarriage plus supports.

Or you could start with this....

As far as I know there is only a SA330J in "Bundesgrenzschutz" livery made by Revel available.
And this machine is far more difficult to convert into an AS332L2 than you think.
Stretching the fuselage isn't the only thing you have to do.
You need to construct a new tail rotor, because the 330 is a conventional 5 blade rotor which hasn't got the fancy rubber bearings.
And you need to change the cockpit section as well, because of the more aerodynamic advanced version of the 332, rather than the old flat nose of the 330.
The Main Rotor Head and the Blades need rework too, because in the Revel Kit there are only metal blades included which are slightly different then the composite blades of today and the head is a conventional too with out the fancy rubber bearings and damper of the 332L2.

So there is a lot of rebuild and rework in this project than you may think. ;)

Oh, and I forgot the totally different main landing gear, as pointed out above.
