Any one own operate the 480 in Australia that could expand on handling, cost, service, speed, seating just interested from the point that you don't see many Enstroms of any type around, but I read that the 480 is quite good.

There is only one 480 on the VH register, and it was written off in a crop spraying accident in February - operator was Fox Air (http://www.foxair.com.au/) if that helps

The 480B is a very good entry level turbine - safe, comfortable, reliable, easy to fly, nice cabin, proven engineering. The new parentage, investment and expansion programme should see the 480B enjoy increasing popularity.

Its good helicopter in single turbine engine category for survey, joy ride and training purpose, though its capability lowers substantially at higher temperature and humidy. Dusty area is bad for its transmission system as it has very unique belt to transmit engine power to main rotor hub.
So at and above 35-40 degree latitude and at sea level without air condition and an advanced GPS its beautiful machine to fly.
Happy landings!!
