I flew that ship up there from Calgary in 2009 and it was a great aircraft. Yet to confirm if it is the same helicopter (ex-Japanese Coast Guard) but being that it is HTSC - then likely. HTSC run good gear and have excellent maintenance.

Steve76 - it was C-GAHZ which has no "Japanese history". CADAORS ref is 2013C1810

The Helicopter Transport Services (Canada) Inc. Bell 212, registration C-GAHZ, was landing at the Fox-3 radar site (3 NW Dewar Lakes, NU), on a VFR flight from Hall Beach, NU (CYUX) with a pilot and four passengers on board. On landing, the helicopter encountered whiteout conditions, and after touchdown, the helicopter rolled over. Two of the three passengers suffered minor injuries. The pilot and other passenger were not injured. The helicopter was destroyed.

More than a few friends up there.

Can anyone PM an ID on the driver?

We were taking off from Dewar Lakes radar site, and crashed shortly after.
