Guys,

Am looking into the famous airshow accident. I can't find the archived thread with all the discussion anywhere on Pprune, has it been deleted?

Also, does anyone know where I might find an English copy of the BEA report?

Cheers,

ETC

Also, does anyone know where I might find an English copy of the BEA report?Only a small proportion of BEA investigation reports for high-profile accidents are ever published in English. The Habsheim A320 isn't one of those, so if you're able to find a translation on the 'Net it will be an unofficial one.

Or find a French-speaker to translate the bits you're interested in: http://www.bea.aero/docspa/1988/f-kc880626/pdf/f-kc880626.pdf

Other interesting reading, besides the original report in French:

Flight International, 11-17 April 1990, with a summary of the report's findings, four pages, starts at 1990 | 1068 | Flight Archive (http://www.flightglobal.com/pdfarchive/view/1990/1990%20-%201068.html)
Peter Mellor (not an expert on aviation, but on safety-critical systems) trying to reconcile the report's findings with claims from Asseline's book: Safety-Critical Mailing List Archive 2002: Re: [sc] A320 crash at Habsheim. (http://www.cs.york.ac.uk/hise/safety-critical-archive/2002/0466.html) .
