Hi All,
I wanted to appeal to all of my fellow aviation ethusiasts and professionals to ask for your help , We have moved and started restoring the last full Hawker Siddeley Trident 1c G-ARPO at the Sunderland aircraft museum We have done very well so far this year and raised £1600.00 of this years target of £3000.00 and would very much like to get to our goal while the weather is good.
Much has come on of late with the front section painted out with the flight deck half done. The front toilet is complete and we have lighting working in the galley toilets and no smoking signs. We have also had new carpet fitted in this section and vinyl by the doors. We would very much like to be able to finish the front section with covering the seats , bringing the airstairs from Cosford and starting a lot of work on the outside fuselage.. If we are going well we could have a coat of paint on before the winter.
Please come and visit our website at www.savethetrident.org (http://www.savethetrident.org) and see all what we have done to date. We have even collated to date 124 ex trident pilots flights into a log of its flying history. Please If you can or would like to donate you can through our website and help us reach this years restoration goals,
kindest regards tony

We have even collated to date 124 ex trident pilots flights into a log of its flying historyJust a thought, but somewhere in the archives at BA there may be records from either the Ops Control system (FICO) or the maintenance control system (DISC), both of which will give you chapter and verse on the flights operated by Papa Oscar since the respective systems went live.

Of course they are probably on half-inch tape that nobody can read any more. :O

toffeez,
we have always been a professional group who have moved and started restoring this aircraft, Every penny goes towards the restoration, we are all volunteers and pay for our own costs, petrol etc. We have been able to do a lot due to the generosity of very kind people who likewise would like to see this aircraft saved and restored as well as had a lot of support with sponsorships. If anyone wants to see the work we have done and all the receipts they are most welcome to come and look.
