Really depends on how many hours the aeroplane(s) fly per month....the usual number of crews per aircraft is......4 to 5.

B747-400 and mainly ultra long haul 11 crews per aircraft, remebering that it is normal to operate with two crews sometimes and augmented, (3 pilots) at others.

My company... 1 crew per aircraft... So when airplane flies I fly. Lately I have flown a lot. Russians in Africa seem to have the same rule 1 crew per aircraft.
Some more established companies in the civilized parts of the world, where flight and duty time limits are also known, have anywhere from 3 to 5 crews.
