Does anyone know if a replacement has been thought about for the fleet of Fokker 70 aircraft that KLM currently operate.

The EMB-190 replaced the FK-100s. I haven't heard anything about replacing the Fk-70s just yet. One would presume this may indeed be with 170s, or a mix of 170s and 190s.

The FK70's are likely to head down to 'aussie down under'

The F70's are planned to operate at least until 2017, but no successor has been decided on.

F70's are regular visitors to Norwich most days of the week, so I guess they'll be around for a while yet. On the other hand , there have been a few F100's going through Air Livery for resprays over the lat few months, before they move on.

I am glad to hear the F70s will be around a bit longer. they make a nice change in the skies . One came scooting over Camberley downwind for LHR (on easterlies) the other day-no doubt diverted from a busy Lambourne hold .

Made a different noise and different shape from the legions of 73s/320s/Triple7s etc etc which all look like 'same aircraft different height ' from below . Must be a bit boring being a spotter these days

F70s are operating the new 'shuttle' between Manston and Schipol.
