A HEWA BORA 707 crashed on Rwy 24 today during or shorlty after a storm. Apparently lost it on the touch down and is now kitchen pots off threshold 06.

If visiting Addis Be Warned! On the apron there are a lot of nice big black and yellow chocks lying around, it is very tempting to use them whilst parking on the sloping apron. They belong to Ethiopian Airlines who will remove them in the night leaving your aircraft parked on the considerable slope without chocks!
Use your own chocks there whatever you do!
