I saw a news story recently that said Air Botswana was having problems because mechanicals on both a 146 and an ATR had essentially grounded their fleet. The clear implication was that the 146 (which has long been for sale and had been parked) is (or was) back in service. Is this correct? I'd be grateful for any details (eg when it re-entered service, on what route, etc)

dont know 'bout that,
do know that they did have an engine failure ou of Gabs to Maun one day a few months ago and had to turn back, stood on the apron for hours before anyone actually looked at it

I saw a 146 (white tail) operating from JIA on a Botswana callsign last week. I did not bother to look at the reg.

Yes the 146 is back in use as from 1 April on the JHB - Maun route. Replaces the Intensive Air F28 that was doing the route for Air Bots.
